Zurich Airport (ZRH)
Zurich Airport is Switzerland’s largest airport. You can reach Bern main station from Zurich Airport train station in an hour and 15 mins by train. Trains with direct connections from the airport to the capital depart every 30 mins. (The price for a one way ticket in the 2. class, valid on all trains is 56 CHF).

Euro Airport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL)
EuroAirport is located near the borders of Switzerland, France and Germany. Bern can be reached via Basel SBB train station in around 1 hour and 15 mins. Trains from Basel SBB to Bern depart every 30 mins. (The price for a one way ticket in the 2. class, valid on all trains is 45.40 CHF).

Geneva International Airport (GVA)
Geneva Airport is also well connected to the Swiss rail network. Geneva Airport train station can be reached directly from the arrivals hall. Direct trains to Bern depart every 30 mins. The journey takes just under two hours. (The price for a one way ticket in the 2. class, valid on all trains is 56 CHF).

Public transport in Bern
From your very first overnight stay in a tourist accommodation in the city of Bern, you will receive a Bern Ticket for your whole stay, which lets you travel for free on public transport in zones 100/101 operated by the LIBERO Association.
It also includes the famous Gurten funicular, the funicular Marzilibahn, and the elevator to the Minster terrace, as well as travel to and from BERN Airport. On your day of arrival, your reservation confirmation can be used as a transfer ticket from the station or the airport of Bern to your accommodation.
You will receive your Bern Ticket when you check in to your accommodation, and it is only valid if completed in full. Show the ticket to inspectors when requested.
