 | The Inserm Nutriomique Team 7 at the Cordelier Research Center, Paris is developing an interdisciplinary research program to study the molecular basis of obesity and related disorders. This research program is supported by the French National Agency of Research and a regional grant (Paris Ile de France). It has also strong interactions with ongoing European collaborative networks. |
This program associates the expertise and resources of clinical and basic science researchers to establish the physiopathological mechanisms of human obesity in its different and complex dimensions (including the contribution of the gut microbiota and inflammatory-related processes). The study will be based on the phenotypic, tissue genomic analysis and the change of microbiota in different human conditions with variations in energy balance. The Cordelier Research Center, located in the Center of Paris is highly linked with the department of Nutrition at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital and has the appropriate resources for clinical investigation, genomic analysis using microarray platforms and bioinformatics support with in house experts.
We are looking for a Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D with or without postdoctoral expertise in the field of molecular research in metabolic diseases. The position is for an individual who would interact with clinicians and basic researchers (biologists and bioinformaticians) to contribute specifically to a scientific program on the genomic analysis of these diseases in humans. Knowledge in the analysis of gene expression at the whole genome level, using microarray technology and/or other “omic” technologies would be highly desirable. The position is for a first period of two years (three years possible) and is available immediately.
Please send your application, including C.V. and description of your area of expertise to: Prof. Karine Clément, Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers, 15 rue de l’Ecole de Médecine, 760006 Paris and/or by email karine.clement@psl.aphp.fr
