EADGENE Short Term Stays: Europe has a large research community in animal disease genomics. By providing financial support to researchers for short-term stays at institutes/companies involved in EADGENE (European Animal Disease Genomics Network of Excellence for Animal Health and Food Safety) will help overcome fragmentation, orientate research priorities and strengthen trans-national interactions between institutes. EADGENE also seeks to exploit the multidisciplinary expertise of the member institutes, thus helping individual scientists develop their career by widening their personal expertise.

Up to €3,300 per application (depending upon the duration of the stay) can be awarded as support for a stay of up to three months at an EADGENE Partner institute or industrial member of the EADGENE Club of Interest. Additional funds are also available for scientific consumables used during the stay.

Application is simple, fast and does not require a lot of paper work. Applicants must fill in the application form, including a short CV, a one page description of the scientific basis for the application, a letter of invitation by the hosting laboratory and a budget proposal. Applications will be reviewed and ranked by a scientific advisory board. Preference is given to applications for a stay located in a different country.

Please see EADGENE Short-term stay poster and Short-term stay leaflet for more information or visit their website.
