Quantifying the healthy phenotype in Cork (Ireland, 16-18th May 2007) 
This symposium discussed the concept of quantification of health in a nutrition research context. Emphasis was given to the "triangle" of metabolic, inflammatory and oxidative stress, as these three overarching processes to a large extent appear to control the balance between nutrition related health and the onset of early phases of disease.
