Proteomics
Learning outcomes
After studying this module you are expected to be able to:
- Explain the relevance of proteomics for nutrition research.
- Understand and explain in detail the rationale behind the techniques, workflow and procedures often used in proteomics research.
- Apply this knowledge to understand and interpret results from proteomics experiments in which 2D gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry are used as leading techniques.
- Be aware of alternative proteomics techniques and recent developments.
Assessment method
Successful completion of the module (i.e. all correct answers have been disovered) is rewarded with a certificate. There is no final test.

Depending on the students’ background, the estimated time needed to complete the module is 20-30 hrs. The study load for this module, is rated at 1.5 ECTS.
