Molecular Nutrition and Genomics

Learning outcomes

After completion of this course, students will be able to give an informed opinion on several aspects of nutrigenomics and to address nutrigenomics research questions using molecular biology technology currently available. Specifically, they will have gathered knowledge on personalized diets and on nuclear receptors.

Assessment methods

The answers and conclusions given by the student in the case studies will be evaluated by the course instructor. There will be no separate exam.

An indication of the length of time it will take the students to study

To complete both case studies once and read the literature will require approximately 20-35 hours, the exact time needed depends on the prior knowledge of the student. The study load for the complete module, is rated at 1.5 ECTS.
