In two case studies you will focus on different aspects of nutrigenomics research.

Case Study Personalised Diets

One very important goal of nutrigenomics research is to develop personalised diets. In this case study the student will learn what is possible in this regard and the role that nutrigenomics research may play in the development of personalised diets. This case is also used to introduce the field of nutrigenomics.

Case Study Obesity

Obesity is a growing health problem in developed countries, and the obesity epidemic is a "hot" news topic. In this case-study the student will learn about the relevance of nutrigenomics research in obesity. The student will formulate nutrigenomics research questions and perform a (virtual) nutrigenomics experiment. This nutrigenomics experiment will focus on nuclear receptors.
